Dr. Anthony Xu is a board-certified gastroenterologist who cares for patients with all types of digestive health concerns, with specialized training in inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He believes in providing the same high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate care he would want for his own family.
Dr. Xu obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis. He obtained his MD from Baylor College of Medicine. He stayed at Baylor College of Medicine to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology, where he was Chief Fellow. He stayed on an additional year to obtain specialized training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and completed a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Texas, Houston School of Public Health. Committed to advancing medical knowledge and patient outcomes, Dr. Xu has contributed to various publications in peer reviewed journals. His papers cover topics ranging from inflammatory bowel disease, artificial intelligence in colonoscopy, and H. Pylori infections.
Outside the office, Dr. Xu loves spending time with his family and exploring the many culinary gems around DFW. He’s also a big movie fan and proudly supports Chelsea FC, a soccer team based in London.
