After completion of medical school in India, Dr. Chittajallu trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Scotland. He was awarded Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK). He then moved to the US and did his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at The Cleveland, Clinic Foundation, Ohio. Subsequently he did his Hepatology (Liver diseases) and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.
Dr. Chittajallu started his practice in Carlsbad, NM in 1997 and moved to his current location in 2003. He treats patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders including acid reflux, difficulty swallowing, gastrointestinal bleeding, anemia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, colon polyps, screening for colon cancer, liver and pancreatic diseases. During his free time Dr. Chittajallu can be found on his ranch with his goats, chickens, ducks, horses, donkeys, dogs and bees and working in his vegetable garden and orchard.
